Denim

Denim and pearl snaps are two of my favorite things! Someday I will own a denim vest with “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death” on the back.

Someday I will also own the perfect denim dress. Perfect means that it has deep side pockets as well as the mandatory breast pockets and it will either be fastened with pearl snaps or brass buttons.

The following is my genius denim apron idea. The neck strap has hardware like on overalls, and hence is adjustable on both sides and can be unclipped; this is nothing new and has been done before. The genius part is the belt: the buckle is attached to one side of the apron and the belt extends from the other side, so that it can wrap around behind, be buckled on the side and then slide under the belt loops on the front of the apron. For this to work, the belt needs to be the kind punctured with a double row of regularly spaced metal grommets.
